Abstraction

Before the first public release of CellSpecks, I have been endeavoring to replace the current GUI with something that is more familiar to my collaborators. To that end I'm working on a general restructuring, separating the front and back ends and making them entirely independent. This adds a layer of abstraction that will allow me to work on each functional unit more independently, without having to remind myself of the inner workings of the other units. While this is simply an implementation of good design practices, and something that all programs should be designed with from the start, it is at least reassuring that along the way I have included enough modularity that my work should only be a day or two of refactoring. At the same time I am still working on standardizing the channel chip background levels.
